Studio 18, dedicated to showcasing contemporary art and serving the community by bringing art exhibits, workshops and events to the studio is located in East Pembroke Pines at 1101 Poinciana Drive. Studio 18 is owned by the City of Pembroke Pines and accommodates space for 18 artists, two classrooms for workshops, a lounge/breakroom and an 1100 ft exhibit area. Events are held the first Friday of every month and are free. For emerging and mid-career juried artists, sculptors, welders and wood workers there are affordable spaces to lease within the studio with secure entry 24-hours and 7 days a week. Artists leasing also have an opportunity to teach in Studio 18 classrooms with complete access of the artists’ lounge. Resident artists, participate in exhibitions throughout the year which draws hundreds of people. The main gallery and classrooms are also available to rent for private functions.
